Ryan Laney is a native of Colorado, and Director of Bands at Broomfield High School in Broomfield, CO. In 2010 Mr. Laney earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from the University of Northern Colorado, and was the Head Percussion Instructor for the Pride of the Rockies Marching Band during their 2009 season. In 2012 he earned a Master's Degree in Music Education from Kansas State University. For the past decade Mr. Laney has been an active clinician, arranger, drill writer, and music educator in various venues and organizations throughout the midwest region and around the world.
In 2008 Mr. Laney started the music publishing and educational resource company R. Laney Percussion which is still running strongly. The purpose of this company is to provide enjoyable, quality music to various percussion performance ensembles, along with free educational resources for percussionists and directors alike. Mr. Laney also spends his time playing world music, learning about advancements in music technology, running, cycling, snowboarding, and enjoying the many delicious restaurants throughout Colorado.
Brad Neilson has been performing in marching band since his years inHigh School. He was a member of the Alameda High School marching band, marched one year with Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps, and four years withthe Velvet Knights Drum and Bugle Corps in Anaheim, CA.
He has been a Visual Instructor since 1997 when he worked with both the Arvada West and the Wheatridge High School marching bands, securing a second place medal with the latter. He has also taught with Eaglecrest, Conifer, Air Academy, Broomfield, and Overland. He assisted the last two schools in gaining four 'Most Improved' trophies through the years and last season helped Broomfield win first place at the Friendship Cup during the competitive season.
Brad currently works with Broomfield and Arapahoe marching bands. He has helped Arapahoe to four finalist performances and three top three placements in his four seasons with them. He loves the activity and the kids and looks forwards to helping them be the best they can be.
Devin Greenlee is the color guard instructor at BHS, and has been teaching high school guards since 2010. He is a former member of the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps, and Opus X, an indoor winter guard ensemble. He has worked with the students at BHS since 2012.
Corey Anderson has been involved with marching bands since 2005. He has marched as a member of the Blue Knights World Percussion Ensemble and as the drum captain of the University of Colorado Drumline. He currently lives in Boulder, CO, and is pursuing a double degree in Psychology and Film Studies from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He loves watching movies, hanging with friends, and playing flam drags.
